FDAP Meetings

The Flinders Regional Assessment Panel (FRAP) was established in February 2018 to deal with Planning Applications lodged with the 4 member Councils and continues as constituted Panel under the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 (PDI Act).

The member Councils are:

*          The Flinders Ranges Council;

*          District Council of Mount Remarkable;

*          District Council of Orroroo Carrieton;

*          District Council of Peterborough.

The Panel consists of 3 members only 1 of which is a member of the representative Councils.

The term of office is set at 2 years with the last constituted Panel commencing on 1 July 2021.

The arrangement of the Panel is such that responsibility for its operation and the appointment of the Council nominated member rotates on a two-yearly basis. This aligns with the appointment period for the independent members and on the current cycle, The Flinders Ranges Council is responsible for providing the elected members to the Panel.

The current Panel comprises the following members:

*          Shanti Ditter – Presiding Member (qualified planner)

*          John Brak – Independent Member (qualified planner)

*          Cr Angus Searcy (Councillor, The Flinders Ranges Council)

*          Cr Ian Carpenter (Councillor, The Flinders Ranges Council) Proxy;

*          David Hutchison (qualified planner) Assessment Manager.

The Panel meets irregularly on an as needs basis.
