Revocation of Community Land
PROPOSAL FOR THE REVOCATION OF COMMUNITY LAND CLASSIFICATION – LOT 103 FIFTH STREET AND 2 RADEMAKER ROAD, CARRIETON
Notice is hereby given that at its meeting on 26th November 2025, the District Council of Orroroo Carrieton, pursuant to Section 194 of the Local Government Act 1999, resolved to commence a process to revoke the Community Land classification attached to the following vacant land parcels (the Land) that are located in Carrieton:
- Lot 103 Fifth Street, Carrieton SA 5432 (Lot 103), which is comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 5874 Folio 246 and Certificate of Title Volume 5872 Folio 607; and
- 2 Rademaker Road, Carrieton SA 5432, which is comprised in Certificate of Title Volume 5399 Folio 862
The Land is currently vacant and undeveloped. The Council proposes to revoke the community land status of the Land to enable a potential sale of the Land for residential development. Any proceeds from a future sale would be reinvested into community assets and infrastructure. A report outlining further information regarding the proposal is available for inspection during normal office hours at the Council offices at 17 Second Street, Orroroo SA 5431 and on the Council’s website at https://www.orroroo.sa.gov.au/.
The Council is seeking feedback from the community on the proposal to revoke the community land status of the Land. Any person is entitled to make a written submission regarding the proposal to be received by the Council no later than 5:00 pm on Monday 16th February 2026. Written Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and posted to the District Council of Orroroo Carrieton, 17 Second Street ORROROO SA 5431 or emailed to: council@orroroo.sa.gov.au.
