The District Council of Orroroo Carrieton welcomes the announcement of the $868,200 funding allocated through the Coalition Government’s Regional Connectivity program to Pekina tower, for the mobile blackspot program.
Orroroo Carrieton Mayor Kathie Bowman said ‘This much needed telecommunication tower will deliver clear benefits to the local Pekina and surrounding areas, some of our rural communities have lacked the basic connectivity and data access required today.
