Closure & Further Social Restrictions

Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced yesterday that from today all PUBLIC PLAYGROUNDS, OUTDOOR GYMS and SKATE PARKS will be closed. Council has erected signage at the Orroroo Playground.

In a further endeavour to focus Council resources, the following public toilets have been closed:
- Playground toilet block at Orroroo Recreational Ground
- Red Brick Changeroom toilet block at Orroroo Recreational Ground
- Lions Park

Council has also increased the cleaning regime at the Main Street toilet block in Orroroo in an effort to keep our public facilities as clean and hygienic as possible.

In addition to this:
- All public gathering will be limited to two people (or entire households can gather together)
- People aged over 70, aged over 60 with pre-existing conditions, or Indigenous people aged over 50 should stay home wherever possible for their own protection. www.australia.gov.au
- Bootcamps shall be restricted to just two people (including the trainer)
- Weddings remain at 5 and Funerals at 10 persons

Everyone must stay at home except for;
- Shopping for essential needs, which must be kept short and not too frequent
- Work or school that cannot be done remotely
- Seeking medical services or compassionate grounds
- Exercising with no more than one other person
